Hounslow students celebrate strong A-level results this year

Students at Hounslow schools — including those serving the Chiswick area — are marking A-level results day after a year in which top grades rose across the borough.

Hounslow Council says both academic A-level results and vocational qualifications showed improvement in 2026, continuing a positive trend for the borough. Results day is one of the year's more emotionally charged moments for families, and the council's message is one of congratulation to all students collecting their grades today. For students who did not receive the grades they hoped for, UCAS Clearing remains open and the deadline to apply through Clearing is mid-October. The UCAS helpline (0371 468 0 468) is staffed throughout results day and beyond. Local sixth-form colleges and school sixth forms typically have pastoral staff available today to support students through next steps, whether that is Clearing, a gap year, or an apprenticeship route.
