Labour retains control of Hounslow Council after May elections

Labour held onto Hounslow Council following local elections on Thursday 7 May, securing 32 of the 62 seats contested across 22 wards. The result means the party continues to run the council it has held for a number of years, giving it a working majority on the new council.

For Chiswick residents, the outcome determines who leads decisions on local planning, highways, parks, and social services for the next four years. The council is responsible for services ranging from bin collections and street maintenance to planning applications on Chiswick High Road and the surrounding streets.
