Piccadilly Line suspended west of Hammersmith this weekend — Heathrow travellers take note

There is no Piccadilly Line service between Hammersmith and Heathrow (all terminals) or Uxbridge from the early hours of Saturday 11 July through to the end of Sunday 12 July. The Metropolitan Line is also suspended between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Uxbridge across the same period. Replacement bus services are operating on both routes. For Heathrow travel, TfL is directing passengers to use the Elizabeth line or Heathrow Express for transfers between terminals and connections from central London. Chiswick residents who would normally pick up the Piccadilly at Hammersmith should factor in additional journey time this weekend.

This closure, combined with the District Line suspension between Turnham Green and Ealing Broadway, means several westbound routes are disrupted simultaneously. If you are travelling to Heathrow on Saturday or Sunday, it is worth checking your full route on the TfL Journey Planner before you leave and allowing a generous buffer.
